    When college student Jeffrey Beaumont (MacLachlan) returns home to look after his dad's store while he's in hospital, a short stroll through a seemingly peaceful field sees him stumbling upon a severed ear. 

    As Jeffrey reports the crime to the police he finds himself being sucked into a world of murder, voyeurism and sado-masochism.
