    2024 marked the 50th anniversary of the release of Cymande’s album *Promised Heights*, which concluded a historic trilogy of early 1970s Afro-soul albums, comprising their 1972 debut Cymande and the 1973 album Second Time Round. 

    Promised Heights cemented Cymande’s place in music history and features some of their most beloved and frequently played tracks, such as “Brothers On The Slide”.
