Blood Sugar Sex Magik (Vinyl)

Blood Sugar Sex Magik is the fifth studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, first released on September 24, 1991. Produced by Rick Rubin, it was the band's first record released on Warner Brothers.

The musical style of Blood Sugar Sex Magik differed notably from the heavy metal riffing on the Chili Peppers' preceding album, Mother's Milk,.  The album's subject matter incorporated sexual innuendos and references to drugs and death as well as themes of lust and exuberance.

One of the most successful acts in rock history, Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold more than 60 million albums, including five multi-platinum LPs, and won six Grammy Awards, including "Best Rock Album" for 'Stadium Arcadium,' "Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group" for "Dani California," "Best Rock Song" for "Scar Tissue," and "Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal" for "Give It Away."
